What is a tornado?

A tornado, or twister, is a deadly funnel-shaped cloud that can reach speed of up to 300 miles per hour. Tornadoes can be from a few feet wide to a mile wide, and it generally travels northeast with speeds of 20 to 60 miles per hour.
